ristorazione — Venezia · Veneto
In the heart of the VEGA science park in Marghera, where the old warehouses of Venetian industry still breathe, a place hides that overturns every assumption about eating in an industrial zone. It has the shape of a canteen. Only the shape.
Tower Ristorazione Donazzon has occupied the Edificio Auriga (Auriga Building) at VEGA for years, serving over a thousand people every day among workers, researchers and technicians of the park. The entrance makes no fuss: and yet those who step in once tend to come back, punctually, certain of finding something good and the time to enjoy it.
The dining hall comes alive at peak hour with the orderly hum of a working day. At the self-service counter, four first courses and six second courses are offered daily, alongside side dishes and a pizzeria selection. First course, second course, side dish and water for thirteen euros fifty: a balance of variety, quantity and price that reviews describe, without irony, as five-star.
From the kitchen come dishes of Venetian tradition — braised beef with polenta, porchetta (roast pork) sliced to order — and every Friday a selection of fish: mixed fried fish, octopus, prawns in saor (sweet-and-sour marinade). Desserts are prepared fresh daily, with creams and doughs made in-house. This is a kitchen that does not hide behind its format, but rather fills it with substance.
Quality, variety and balance, every day from Monday to Friday, in the industrial heart of Venice. Discover opening hours, menu and how to reach Tower Ristorazione Donazzon.
