ristorazione — Wien · Wien
In the heart of Vienna, amid the rhythms of the Austrian capital, a space opens that seeks no compromise with distance: Totò Sapori brings Neapolitan tradition into the city of the Habsburgs, run by Italians with the precision of those who know the difference between authentic and imitation.
The management is Italian, and it shows from the threshold: not an exotic sign but a place run by compatriots who chose Vienna to tell the story of southern cuisine. The simple, elegant setting recreates the atmosphere of home — so much so that more than one guest has confessed to forgetting, for a few hours, that they were in Austria.
The dining room reflects a precise philosophy of the table: San Daniele starter (antipasto) with prosciutto crudo, arugula, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella di bufala; four-cheese gnocchi, tagliatelle boscaiola, spaghetti carbonara. Authentic Italian products — grana padano, mortadella di Modena — brought all the way to Vienna without substitutions. A menu that makes no concessions to geography.
The wood-fired oven is the heart of the kitchen: from there come the Neapolitan pizzas — from the margherita to the Pizza Tirolese with porcini mushroom cream and truffle, to the Pizza Pistacchio with pistachio cream and mortadella di Modena. The soft, generously topped dough has won over even those who, back in Italy, thought they already knew what a true Neapolitan pizza was.
