Nel Parco Nazionale dei Monti Sibillini (Sibillini Mountains National Park), where pastures open up among woods and Apennine ridges, Società Agricola Ferioli raises free-range Livornese bianca hens, producing certified organic eggs in a landscape of rare natural integrity.
On the slopes of the Monti Sibillini, in the hamlet of Polverina near Lago di Fiastra, the hens roam free in both indoor and outdoor spaces: a free-range farm born from a precise choice to respect animal welfare and the surrounding nature, founded by Enrico Ferioli in the 1950s and now run by his children.
Quality begins in the field: the hens feed on certified organic feed made up of sixty-five percent corn, thirty percent soy, and five percent alfalfa and calcium. A precise formula, controlled by the certification body Suolo e Salute, that yields eggs with superior organoleptic qualities and lower cholesterol content compared to common breeds.
The Livornese bianca breed was chosen for its distinctive eggs: a pure white shell, a rich yolk, and low cholesterol content. A product refined over time, with a structure expanded thanks to European incentives to stay at the forefront without betraying the original methods with which Enrico Ferioli laid the foundations of this family business.
