ristorazione — Narni Scalo · Umbria
Among the hills sloping down toward the Nera river, in Narni Scalo, Rustico Gusto Umbro opened its doors in September 2017 with a clear idea in mind: to restore to Umbrian cooking its authentic depth without giving up a contemporary outlook. A restaurant born of a deliberate choice.
Behind it all are Yuri Nevi, who runs the dining room, and chef Roberto Bernardini, who leads the kitchen: two distinct roles bound by a single shared vision. Since September 2017, this restaurant in Narni Scalo has told the story of Umbrian culinary tradition through a conscious and creative reinterpretation, one that does not chase novelty for its own sake but puts it in service of authentic flavor.
The dining room at Rustico knows how to change face: it welcomes the working lunch with the same care as the romantic dinner, the family table as much as the wedding reception. A well-stocked list of regional and national wines accompanies every occasion, with staff ready to suggest the right pairing. The venue also hosts events, music evenings and specialty tastings.
From the kitchen come hand-rolled pasta, truffle dishes, artisan Umbrian cured meats and selected meats — local chicken, beef, lamb, hare, guinea fowl, Cinta Senese pork. The à la carte menu is renewed every three or four months to follow the season: no dish stays past its time. The desserts, made in-house, close the meal with the same artisan care with which it began.
