ristorazione — Pavia · Lombardia
Pavia, on the bank of the naviglio (the historic canal) — here a family brings the sea into the heart of the Po Valley. Lo Scoglio is a family-run ristorante-pizzeria where Neapolitan cooking tells its story every day through fresh catch and a wood-fired oven.
The door of Lo Scoglio opens onto a family-run place in the heart of Pavia: the owner personally prepares the desserts of Neapolitan tradition, while caposale (head waiter) Giovanni welcomes every guest with care. On Viale Bligny, overlooking the naviglio pavese, the restaurant brings fresh, carefully selected seafood to the table every day.
The dining room is spacious, with many tables set to welcome both the everyday lunch crowd and special occasions: parties, birthdays and company dinners all find a fitting space here. The daily menu offers generous, flavourful dishes, with service that reviews consistently describe as attentive and warm at every moment.
From the wood-fired oven come pizzas made in the Neapolitan tradition; from the stove come pepata di cozze (peppered mussels), scialatielli with mussels and shrimp, and the crisp, light fried dishes that are house specialities. Pastiera napoletana — made in house by the owner — closes the meal with the same care given to everything else.
Fresh catch arrives daily: full seafood menus, from mixed fried fish to delizia al limone. The page tells the whole story.
