In 1952, on the shores of the Circeo National Park and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the first Bufalara restaurant opened its doors. Seventy-four years later, a new management has redesigned every detail without betraying its memory: the same name, the same place, an entirely rewritten chapter beginning on 30 May 2026.
The covered terrace overlooking the sea was conceived as a space where elegance carries no weight: mise en place studied down to the smallest detail, furnishings that converse with the light of the Lazio coastline, an atmosphere that invites you to linger. Whoever sits here is no passing guest: they are at the center of a scene built with care.
The kitchen works with the catch of the day, using fresh ingredients selected for quality. Dishes are executed with precision and flavors that feel genuine — a sauté of mussels worth the journey, a wine and spirits list composed with the same attention given to the food. Nothing superfluous, everything in its place.
