In the heart of Salento, in Taurisano, a workshop has kept alive for a hundred and fifty years the art of building light. Not as ornament, but as language: architectural, cultural, capable of transforming every space it crosses.
In 1876 Sabino Parisi lit the first luminaria (traditional Salento illuminated arch) in Taurisano. Today, in the fourth generation, that founding act has become over a hundred and fifty years of unbroken artisan tradition: a rare continuity, in which every passing of hands has refined the gesture without ever breaking the thread.
In the workshop on Corso Umberto I, the workbench is the heart of the process: structures, frames, assemblies are born from know-how passed down from generation to generation, where traditional methods coexist with advanced technical skills. It is here that every installation takes shape before it illuminates a space.
The coloured glass that captures and multiplies the light speaks of the most demanding settings: the Maison Dior at Piazza del Duomo in Lecce for Dior Cruise 2021, Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, the High Line in New York. Each project is conceived site-specific, built to converse with the architecture and identity of the place.
