Parisi 1876 represents world-class excellence in the creation of artistic light installations. Founded in 1876 by Sabino Parisi, the Salento-based company is now in its fourth generation and has carried the tradition of Apulian luminarie into some of the most prestigious settings on the international scene. From Maison Dior to Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, from the High Line in New York to the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris, every project arises from the meeting of culture, architecture and the identity of places. The workshop in Taurisano preserves a unique craft know-how that unites age-old gestures with advanced technical skills.
Since 1876
Sabino Parisi founded a craft workshop in Taurisano in 1876, carrying Salento's luminarie (illuminated festival structures) beyond the boundaries of patron saint feasts.

The technical knowledge of Parisi 1876 is passed on directly, from master to apprentice, across generations. In the Taurisano workshop, traditional methods coexist with advanced technical skills, in a balance that allows projects of varying scale and complexity to be tackled without losing the precision of manual work.
Every installation begins with an analysis of its context: the architecture of the place, its history, the cultural identity running through it. Parisi 1876 does not replicate existing models but develops bespoke projects, where light becomes a tool for enhancing historic and contemporary urban spaces.
Parisi's light installations arise from the meeting of aesthetic requirements, architectural constraints, and cultural narrative. The manufacture works with organisations, brands and institutions to translate complex concepts into luminous forms, while maintaining clarity and technical rigour.
The creative process starts with the graphic design and moves through every stage of craft production: from the choice of materials to the construction of the structures, from manual assembly to technical testing. The workshop follows every installation from conception to final assembly.
