In Rome, in the heart of Prati, there is a threshold you cross by walking beneath a tunnel of hams. Since 1970 Paciotti has been the city's point of reference for Italian food excellence: a place recognised first by its scent, then by the expertise of those behind the counter.
In the Prati district, beneath an arch of Parma and San Daniele DOP raw hams that customers call the Cappella Suina (Ham Chapel), Paciotti's counter opens onto culatello di Zibello, salama da sugo ferrarese IGP, aged cheeses and aged balsamic vinegar, arranged with the care of someone who knows every stage of curing.
Since 1970 the Paciotti family has passed down the craft of the Roman pizzicheria (delicatessen): father Antonio and his three sons Stefano, Roberto and Luca work side by side, bringing to every gesture their knowledge of the products, their history and the right way to handle and present them — three generations, one single standard of quality.
On the shelves, DOP cured meats, rare cheeses, truffles, spirits and selected wines all sit together: a range recognised as Italy's Best Salumeria 2025. The entire catalogue is also available via e-commerce with national and international shipping, vacuum-packed to travel without losing any of its original character.
