Along Via Salaria, in the hilly heart of the Tronto valley, GULP opens its doors every morning at six: an ice cream parlour, bar and pastry shop gathered under one roof, where the scent of coffee announces the sweetness of the day ahead.
Monsampolo del Tronto lies just a few kilometres from the Adriatic, yet already immersed in the hills of Ascoli: here GULP is a landmark that sets the pace of village life. From six in the morning the sign is lit, and the open door is an invitation good for breakfast, for a midday break, right through to midnight.
The counter is the gravitational centre of the place: café, pastry shop and artisan gelateria coexist in a space where every product is made with passion every day, as the house motto puts it. Gelato and fresh pastries stand alongside a bar service that accompanies Monsampolo from dawn to late evening.
The kitchen also turns out single-portion semifreddi, made for anyone who wants to bring a carefully crafted dessert to their own table. GULP is also part of the Too Good To Go platform with its Dolce Sorpresa del Giorno (Sweet Surprise of the Day), and delivers via Just Eat: three different ways of carrying artisan pastry beyond the threshold of the shop.
