In Sanremo, where the Ligurian Riviera meets a century-old tradition of elegance, a jewellery house founded in 1920 has crossed an entire century without ever changing hands or losing the thread of its own story.
On Corso Imperatrice in Sanremo, just steps from the Casinò, Gioielleria Abate opened its doors in 1920. Michele Abate founded the business and, in under a decade, earned the title of Fornitore della Real Casa Savoia (supplier to the Royal House of Savoy). More than a century later, the same family still runs the two stores in the city, with the same measure and the same rigour.
Behind the counter, it is not only about selling: it is about working. The workshop on Via Matteotti 39 is a certified Rolex Service Centre, one of the few in Italy authorised to carry out full servicing and maintenance of watches from the Geneva maison. The certification is no decorative badge: it is the result of technical standards verified and renewed on an ongoing basis.
On velvet trays rest Rolex, Patek Philippe, Tudor, Omega, Ulysse Nardin, Pomellato, Messika and other names in fine watchmaking and jewellery. Abate is the sole authorised Patek Philippe retailer for all of Liguria, and an approved point of sale for Rolex Certified Pre-Owned watches. Dedicated corners welcome each maison with its own space and its own identity.
