produttori — Mattinata · Puglia
On the hills of Mattinata, in the heart of the most important olive-growing area of the Gargano, Frantoio Lanzetta follows the oil from the harvesting of the olives to the bottling, staying true to a family tradition shaped over time by the territory.
Among the rows that climb toward the Promontorio del Gargano (Gargano headland), Frantoio Lanzetta preserves the olive-growing tradition of Mattinata: the area with the largest olive-growing extension of the entire headland, where every tree carries in its roots a family story handed down from generation to generation in keeping with the balance of nature.
The olives harvested in Contrada Le Monache (Le Monache district) come from native Gargano varieties — ogliarola garganica, coratina, peranzana, frantoio — each an expression of an olive-growing culture rooted in the territory. The continuous-cycle plant works cold, extracting an oil with a bold taste that retains intact the qualities of the extra virgin oil from this area.
The entire supply chain takes place under one roof: from milling to bottling, every stage is followed with artisanal care. The result is a one-hundred-percent Italian extra virgin olive oil, carefully selected and distributed on the national and international market, carrying the identity of this land beyond the Gargano.
The doors of the mill are open: guided visits accompany visitors through every stage of production, ending with a tasting.
