ristorazione — Amsterdam · Noord-Holland
In Amsterdam, just steps from the Holendrecht metro stop, a gateway to Southern Italy opens up. Anastasia and Giacomo, he from Naples and she from Sicily, founded the city's first Neapolitan-Sicilian pizzeria, bringing with them their roots, recipes and certified ingredients.
Once through the door, it's clear this place was no accident. Anastasia and Giacomo left the South to open something in Amsterdam that didn't exist before: the first pizzeria to bring Neapolitan and Sicilian tradition together under one roof. A project born of partnership, of roots, of a deliberate choice.
The dining room holds just a handful of tables, with an atmosphere recalling a neighbourhood trattoria from the South, far from the tourist buzz. Alongside the pizza, the menu offers Sicilian focaccia, boards of selected cured meats and cheeses, and a carefully chosen wine list: a full meal, not a quick stop.
In the kitchen, every dough is worked by hand and left to rise slowly, following the timing that tradition demands. San Marzano tomatoes, Mozzarella di Bufala Campana and extra virgin olive oil carry DOP certification; the electric oven has earned recognition from the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (the association safeguarding authentic Neapolitan pizza).
