ristorazione — Sylt · Germania
Sylt, Germany's northernmost island, lapped by the North Sea. Here, for over thirty years, the Borzi family has brought authentic Sicily to the table: an act of loyalty the northern wind has never worn down.
On the threshold of Casa Bianca, the story begins with a surname: Borzi. Three decades of family management have built something no tourist season can erase — a rooted presence, a precise identity. Sylt is an island used to changing fashions; this restaurant has stayed true to itself, year after year, with the same family opening the door every morning.
Inside, cream-coloured wood-panelled walls create an intimate atmosphere, far from the noise of the town centre. In summer, the terrace on Elisabethstraße opens up: sheltered from the wind, it offers the slow rhythm of those who have found the right place. Casa Bianca also serves the beach — delivery from five to ten in the evening — carrying Sicilian cooking as far as the island reaches.
In the kitchen, the traditional oven sets the pace for crisp pizza; at the counter, giant ravioli and lobster spaghetti take shape under hands that know their pasta. The fish arrives extremely fresh — a central ingredient in a menu that allows no shortcuts — and the wines complete a Sicilian story the North Sea has never worn down.
