Among the high-altitude pastures of Val di Sole, in Vermiglio, Sofia Panizza grows organic medicinal herbs in fields where classical music accompanies their growth. This is where Erbevive was born: a Trentino project that, since 2012, has united mountain agriculture with artisan processing in a supply chain entirely its own.
In the fields of Vermiglio, over a thousand metres above sea level, the medicinal herbs of Erbevive grow accompanied by Mozart and other classical music, played through loudspeakers set among the crops. These so-called melodic fields are the productive heart of the company: a method Sofia Panizza has followed since founding it in 2012, convinced that sound influences the quality of the herbs.
Every plant grown in these fields carries a double certification: the EU Organic Logo and the TrentinErbe recognition, which protects and promotes the medicinal herbs of Trentino. The absence of synthetic chemicals is not merely a production choice, but the foundation of a supply chain that responds rigorously to the character of the alpine soil and the rhythm of the mountain seasons.
From the processing workshop come floral syrups, infusions, aromatic salts, flower pasta and natural cosmetics: all certified organic and vegan, all made with extracts from plants grown on the farm. The range tells the story of a closed supply chain, where the distance between field and finished product is measured in a few kilometres of Trentino valley, with no intermediaries between the land and the buyer.
At the shop on Via San Pietro in Trento, guided tastings and a full selection welcome anyone wishing to discover the world of Erbevive up close.
