ristorazione — Lurago Marinone · Lombardia
In the heart of the Brianza comasca, an artisan bakery keeps faith with Puglia's bread-making tradition as closely as it is practised in Salento or around Bari. The journey begins at the threshold.
Mauro and Licia La Notte brought to via Carolina Litta Rusca what they have always known: Puglia's bread-making, with its rhythms, its scents and its shapes. In Lurago Marinone, every morning at seven, the door opens onto a corner of the South that has never stopped being itself.
The counter tells the whole story: baresi focacce still warm, panzerotti and savoury pastries fresh from the oven, taralli in every variety, Puglia's mozzarella and fresh ricotta, a counter of selected cured meats and cheeses. First-time visitors stop, look, and struggle to choose — just as long-standing customers describe it.
Behind the counter is Mauro's daily work: bread of every kind and shape, fresh pasta, calzoni, pastries. Nothing is prepared elsewhere or the day before. Reviews simply call him "a master", and that word says enough about how much the hand that kneads truly matters.
