In the countryside near Terni, where the Umbrian hills open toward Amelia, a century of family olive growing has built a precise name: Donna Sole. An extra virgin olive oil born from twenty hectares of olive groves and four generations of care.
Among the hills of Montecampano di Amelia, where Umbria still holds the old measure of the agricultural landscape, the olive trees of Agricola Monticelli have put down roots in a terroir cultivated without interruption since 1924, when the D'Annibale family laid the first foundations of what would become a twenty-hectare estate.
The moment of harvest is the heart of the method: the olives are selected and taken to milling through mechanical processes chosen with care to preserve both their nutritional properties and their flavor profile. It is a respect for raw material that sets Donna Sole extra virgin oil apart from generic production.
The range reflects the complexity of a multi-varietal olive grove: the Monocultivar Ascolana, rare and sought after, the Monocultivar Frantoio with its green fruitiness and hint of almond, and the Blend Tradizionale, weaving together Frantoio, Rajo, Leccino, Moraiolo, and Pendolino into a light green extra virgin oil with a distinctly Umbrian character.
