Chi Siamo
Noi di Ms Frankie siamo figlie di immigrati italiani e greci, provenienti da famiglie di contadini, cresciute con l’amore per la cucina e la condivisione. Il nostro ristorante nasce dall’ispirazione della famiglia di Melinda, una delle fondatrici, le cui radici affondano nella Calabria.
Nel 1976, i genitori di Melinda emigrarono dall'Italia in cerca di un futuro migliore, portando con sé tradizioni, ricette e un amore incondizionato per la cucina. Ancora oggi, Mamma Vincenza continua a preparare il pane nel garage di casa, come vuole la tradizione calabrese, riservando la cucina per gli ospiti e le occasioni speciali.
Quel garage non è solo una cucina, ma un luogo di ricordi, aromi e tradizioni tramandate di generazione in generazione. È lì che nasce la magia dei piatti calabresi, con ricette semplici ma straordinarie, preparate sempre con amore.

Who We Are
At Ms Frankie, we are daughters of Italian and Greek immigrants, raised in farming families where food and love were always abundant. Inspired by Melinda’s Calabrian heritage, our restaurant is deeply rooted in the traditions passed down through generations.
In 1976, Melinda’s parents migrated from Calabria, Italy, bringing with them a rich culinary heritage. Even today, Mamma Vincenza bakes her own bread in the garage of the family home—following a true Calabrese tradition. The kitchen is reserved for special guests, while all the magic happens in the garage, where traditional Calabrian sweets and savoury dishes are prepared with love.
For us, that garage is more than just a kitchen—it’s a place filled with memories, aromas, and the warmth of family. The magic created there is simple yet extraordinary, and love is the secret ingredient in every dish.
Our Philosophy
The vision for Ms Frankie is to create a second Mamma’s Garage, right here in Carlton and Cremorne, where old traditions blend seamlessly with Melbourne’s contemporary lifestyle.

It's a family thing.......
Volare Restaurants Ltd has been trading since 2007, and still improving the customer experience as the restaurant has been refurbished with a new suspended ceiling and a new bar... We always strive to give you the best Italian produce at good value for money during these times of economic hardship. Partners and Hosts Onofrio Maimone and Cinzia Lopalco say "When you come to our place, we'll make all efforts to make sure you feel like you are on holiday in Italy for as long as your stay!".
Onofrio is from Sicily and has an extensive experience in catering. He's been working in the trade all his life and is the chef/proprietor of the establishment.
Cinzia is from Puglia and has been managing holiday farms, where she's learnt the trade and all the aspects of day to day running of kitchen and front of house. In the kitchen, Jason Maimone is our head chef in the kitchen and has followed in Onofrios footsteps and has learnt everything there is to know from his father, he is very talented, very motivated to keep high standards and eager to takeover one day along with his wife Victoria Maimone who is once again very talented in the front of house and she strives to make everyone feel welcomeand enjoy their meal or special occasions with us
At Volare, we have excellent food and a large Wine list to choose from. We source our ingredients locally and the rest is imported from Italy through a network of leading distributors.All this mixed with family style service gives you a true authentic taste of real Italy!

Italiensk restaurant på Frederiksberg
På Godthåbsvej 42 ligger en italiensk restaurant med plads til 76 spisende gæster.
Med åbningen af en italiensk restaurant i 1982 har Ristorante Da Claudio nu ligget på adressen i over 30 år, men allerede før den har bygningen huset mange restauranter.
Siden 1890’erne har stedet altså budt gæster på god mad, og i dag kan du nyde lækre og traditionelle italienske specialiteter på vores italienske restaurant.
Stemningsfyldt italiensk restaurant
Her finder du en stor og stemningsfyldt italiensk restaurant med rå murstensvægge, der er dekoreret med fotografier af legendariske, italienske filmstjerner. Indretningen er gennemgående italiensk inspireret med en hyggelig atmosfære.
Alle kokke og tjenere er italienere, som brænder for at give deres vidunderlige madkultur videre, hvilket også gør Ristorante Da Claudio på Frederiksberg til en italiensk restaurant med mange stamkunder.
Hjemmelavede italienske pastaspecialiteter
På vores menukort finder du klassiske italienske specialiteter – deriblandt pizza, pasta og andre retter. Vi er en italiensk restaurant som vægter vores italienske rødder højt. Derfor er al vores pasta hjemmelavet og laves frisk hver dag. Blandt de mange pastaretter finder du klassikere som:
- Ravioli med kødfyld
- Tortellini med fyld af spinat
- Ricotta serveret i salviesmør
- Risotto
- samt den italienske rødkitost, Tallegio
Som enhver traditionel italiensk restaurant har vi også et bredt udvalg af lækre hovedretter med både kød og fisk. Mange gæster kommer for de gode bøffer – eksempelvis den klasissiske ret Filetto di manzo alla Rossini (stor mørbradbøf med en skive stegt foie gras, trøfler og maderiasauce.)
