Since 1870, Trattoria Tarello has preserved the tradition of Piedmontese and Biellese cuisine in the village of Roppolo, two kilometres from Lago di Viverone. Among the house specialities are fritto misto alla piemontese prepared fresh to order, agnolotti, coregone from the lake, and zabaione all'Erbaluce Passito. The owner also offers estate-produced wines, from Erbaluce to Barbera, and organises tasting evenings featuring the great reds of the territory. The small outdoor courtyard offers an intimate corner for summer dinners, while the Menu del Pellegrino welcomes walkers along the Cammino di Oropa.
