The place
Tenuta Campo di Merlo is an organic farm that has told the story of the Roman countryside through four generations since 1850. A pioneer of organic farming since 1991, it preserves heritage durum and soft wheat varieties that represent the history of Roman cereal farming and grows Carciofo Romanesco in its area of origin. The family turns organic raw materials into artisan pasta, sauces and creams, adopting sustainable methods for crop rotation. Located on Via della Magliana in Rome, the farm strikes a perfect balance between centuries-old tradition and innovation, in keeping with the biodiversity of the Agro Romano.

Tenuta Campo di Merlo has practised certified organic farming since 1991, safeguarding the biodiversity of the Agro Romano through sustainable crop rotations and respect for the agro-ecosystem.
The farm preserves heritage durum and soft wheat varieties that represent the history of Roman cereal farming. Carciofo Romanesco (Roman artichoke) is grown in its area of origin, following the traditional techniques of the place.
The raw materials grown on site are processed directly on the farm using artisan methods. Pasta, sauces and preserves are made from the organic cereals and vegetables produced in the fields of the estate.
Tenuta Campo di Merlo's products are available through direct sales channels at Il Cerchio Naturale, the Mercato Campagna Amica Circo Massimo, the Cooperativa Agricoltura Nuova and the Azienda Agricola La Torre.
