The place
Stemau Srl has produced wood flooring and parquet at its Rome plant since 1980. The company is one of the last Italian factories specialising in traditional solid and prefinished parquet, with a production cycle fully certified Made in Italy. The Roman plant turns out five hundred thousand square metres a year of wood flooring, from solid collections to prefinished lines, right through to artistic parquet with inlays and mosaics.
The origins
Stemau Srl was founded in Rome in 1980 with a vocation for turning wood into quality flooring.

Stemau Srl uses certified wood species sourced exclusively from areas and companies authorised for logging, in accordance with strict environmental, social and economic standards. Each batch is carefully selected before processing.
The entire process, from cutting to drying to packaging, takes place within the Roman plant. Annual output reaches five hundred thousand square metres of wood flooring, all CE-marked and one hundred percent Made in Italy certified.
Alongside industrial production, Stemau Srl creates prestigious handcrafted pieces such as herringbone cuts, steps, tiles, borders, mosaics, square panels and geometric designs with inlays and inserts for formal spaces.
The prefinished parquet receives eco-friendly water-based seven-layer UV varnish finishes or seven-layer UV oil finishes, CATAS-certified according to UNI 11622-1:2016 standard. Every treatment meets the highest standards of quality and environmental sustainability.
