Enter the mapIn the making · How it is made
The Oldenico mill turns paddy rice into edible rice through cleaning and milling processes carried out with artisanal care. Every stage respects the time needed to preserve the grain's organoleptic qualities.
For wholegrain rice, processing keeps the outer bran layer intact, preserving the natural nutritional properties. The process demands particular attention to ensure cleanliness and quality without stripping away the fibre- and vitamin-rich layers.
Pigmented varieties such as the red Solitario and the black Nerone 2 require specific care during processing. The grain's natural colour is preserved through methods that keep the varietal characteristics intact.
Family management allows constant oversight of every stage of production. From the intake of paddy rice to final packaging, every batch is followed with expertise built over decades of activity.
