The place
MERCATO PLACANICO brings the authenticity of Italian food and wine tradition to Blerick. The Placanico family, with roots in Francavilla in Sinni between Basilicata and Calabria, opened a specialised shop and webshop in 2024 dedicated to selected products: DOCG wines such as Barolo and Recioto, Tostini coffee, Giusti vermouth aged in balsamic vinegar barrels, ready-made Bella Italia risottos, truffle and porcini mushroom specialities. The shop on Wieenpassage serves private customers and businesses with free pickup, Italian broodjes to order and direct personal guidance.
The origins
MERCATO PLACANICO was born in 2024 from the Placanico family's love for the roots of Southern Italy.
