The place
In the heart of the Quadraro district in Rome, L'Angelo Azzurro is a family-run artisan pastry shop where the tradition established by Maestro Pasticcere Roberto Caucci continues under the new owners, Andrea and Simone. The cornetti, made with sourdough and Roman-style dough and filled on the spot with creams prepared according to old recipes, are the house's pride: soft, fragrant pastries made with French butter, served alongside creamy cappuccinos. The in-house production also includes perfectly leavened ciambelle, featherlight bombe and, during the Christmas season, artisanal panettoni with no additives. A place where the quality of the ingredients and artisan care come together in authentic breakfasts and baked goods that taste like the old days.
