The place
Il Pescatore di Montereale is a seafood osteria (tavern) set in the hills above Cesena, just seven kilometres from the city centre. Housed in a former dance hall, the restaurant serves sea-inspired cuisine in an unexpectedly scenic setting, with a spacious outdoor area set up for sunset aperitivi. The menu favours fresh fish, carefully prepared and served in traditional Romagna dishes such as passatelli and strozzapreti with fish sauce, alongside specialities like fried sage leaves and zucchini flowers filled with salt cod. The pasta is homemade.
