The place
In the heart of Florence, just steps from the Bargello and Palazzo Vecchio, Il Barroccio has carried on the tradition of authentic Tuscan cooking since 1986. In this family-run osteria, with only 35 covers, Giovanni in the dining room and his wife at the stove welcome guests into an intimate, comfortable setting. The house dishes celebrate the territory: from pici al ragù di cinghiale to ravioli with porcini mushrooms and truffle, from bistecca alla fiorentina to seasonal fried dishes. Pasta and desserts are strictly homemade.
At the table
