The place
The historic Hotel Vannucci was founded in 1903 in the centre of Città della Pieve, Perugino's birthplace. Owners Roberto J and Veruschka Wirth, sixth generation of a dynasty of hoteliers, offer thirty individually decorated rooms in a refined style, from Classic to Deluxe with balcony. Ristorante Zafferano serves dishes from Umbrian tradition reinterpreted by the Chef, while the cellar hosts tastings with verticals of the best local wines. The flowering garden holds the private pool. The property also hosts cooking classes and events.

Since 1903 Hotel Vannucci has occupied the centre of Città della Pieve, steps from the churches, museums and workshops of the Umbrian town that gave birth to Perugino.
