The place
On the hills of Fumane, in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, the Scriani cellar tends over thirty hectares of vineyards between 250 and 400 metres of altitude. The Cottini family, with winemaker Stefano at the helm, oversees the entire vinification process: from vineyard to cellar, where the wines rest in barriques of French and Slavonian oak. Cultivation and harvest are strictly manual, in keeping with tradition and environmental balance. From this comes Amarone, Ripasso, Recioto and the other wines that express the unique character of this generous land.

Cultivation and harvest are carried out by hand, following Valpolicella's winegrowing tradition. The vineyards are not subjected to forced irrigation or feeding, and the surrounding woodland is preserved as a reservoir of biodiversity.
Azienda Agricola I Scriani oversees the entire vinification process in its own cellar in Fumane, following every phase with artisan care from grape harvest to bottling.
The wines rest in barriques of French and Slavonian oak, where they develop complexity and structure. Ageing in the cellar respects the time each type needs to express the terroir of Valpolicella Classica.
