The place
The Azienda Agricola Bittarelli Patrizio is a genuine testament to the rural tradition of Lake Trasimeno. Since 1940 the Bittarelli family has grown fine legumes using organic methods, including the Fagiolina del Trasimeno, an ancient legume protected by its consortium. All products, including the ready-to-eat line, are VeganOk certified. The farm is home to a Fattoria Didattica offering educational programmes on farming life, and an Agriristoro where visitors can enjoy traditional dishes made with the farm's own produce and local ingredients.
Roots
The Bittarelli family has worked the land of Castiglione del Lago since 1940. In 1970 they took full ownership of the farm, keeping alive the region's rural tradition.

The Bittarelli family uses organic methods to grow their legumes, respecting the natural rhythms of the land and forgoing synthetic chemical treatments.
The farm grows the Fagiolina del Trasimeno, an ancient legume typical of the area, protected by the consortium of the same name and recognised as a Slow Food Presidium for its importance to local farming tradition.
The legumes harvested are processed on the farm, including for the ready-to-eat line, ensuring full traceability from field to table. Since 2017 all products have been VeganOk certified.
The farm has a shop open for the direct sale of its products, allowing customers to buy straight from the producers.
