The place
Azienda Agricola Astori Dario grows rice and grains in the heart of the Monferrato casalese, among the rice paddies of the famous Piedmontese checkerboard sea. Led by Dario since 2011, the farm combines family tradition with sustainable innovation, SQNPI certified for zero chemical residue production. Listed in the register of the Ente Nazionale Risi, it is a certified producer of Carnaroli Classico. Artisan milling at local rice mills and stone milling preserve the nutritional properties of the grains. Since 2016 direct sales on the farm have offered rice, flours and packaged products, including customised gift baskets.

The rice paddies of the Monferrato casalese grow rice according to the standards of SQNPI certification, obtained in 2021. The system guarantees eco-sustainable techniques and zero chemical residue in the products, combining traditional practices with modern technology.
The harvested rice is milled at a local rice mill, following artisan methods that respect the timing and characteristics of the grain. The process keeps the organoleptic properties of the kernel intact.
The grains destined for flour are stone-milled at a mill in the Biellese area. Traditional milling preserves nutritional properties and produces rustic, semi-wholemeal flours.
Every product is packaged directly on the farm, with the option to customise packaging and prepare gift baskets and wedding favours for special occasions.
