ristorazione — Vipiteno · Trentino-Alto Adige
In Vipiteno, where the Alps close in around the Valle d'Isarco, Tie Break has been serving the double soul of border cuisine since 2010: traditional South Tyrolean dishes and pizza baked in a wood-fired oven, in a place that feels like home.
Founded by Selim Farizi in 2010, Tie Break has built its reputation step by step, true to a simple idea: welcome whoever walks in. The staff — kind, warm, always ready to help — turn every visit into something close to a homecoming, even for those crossing the threshold for the first time.
The dining room is spacious, its windows looking out over the tennis courts and the town's sports centre. A homely atmosphere invites guests to settle in without hurry, choosing between the fixed menu — first and second course for sixteen euros, excellent value — and the à la carte offerings, spanning South Tyrolean cooking and pizza.
In the kitchen, two traditions coexist. From the South Tyrolean side come the trio of canederli and the schlutzkrapfen, the filled ravioli typical of the Valle d'Isarco, prepared according to traditional recipe. From the Italian side, the pizza: a thin, delicate dough, baked in the wood-fired oven, generously topped with quality ingredients. Two souls, one thread.
From the Valle d'Isarco to the table: the Tie Break page covers the dishes, the opening hours and how to reach the restaurant in Vipiteno.
