In the Gallura countryside near Arzachena, where granite emerges from the maquis in shapes carved over millennia, Tenuta Pilastru is a country resort born from the restoration of a stazzo (traditional Gallurese farmstead) dating back to 1840: a place that holds together the most authentic Gallura and closeness to the Costa Smeralda, in a balance that is genuinely rare.
Opening the window here means looking out onto a landscape no one has built: granite sculptures rise among wild olive trees and Mediterranean maquis, as they always have. The estate was born from the restoration of a stazzo dating back to 1840 — the original farmhouse and stables turned into rooms — and still carries, imprinted in every stone, the memory of that land.
Each room has a large private terrace with sofas, a space where the silence of the Gallurese countryside accompanies the hours of the day. The estate lies just a few kilometres from Arzachena, with the beaches of Palau and Cannigione reachable in about twenty minutes and the Costa Smeralda not much further: countryside and sea, both within easy reach.
Rooms come in three formats — Classic Max at 22 sqm, Superior Comfort Max at 28 sqm, Suite at 50 sqm — with custom furnishings in a country chic style that echoes the materials and colours of the countryside.
