In the hills between Pesaro and the Apennines of the Marche, where the landscape grows intimate and close-knit, Susan Imbottiti carries on an upholstery workshop that combines its own production with repairs: a craft of hand and material, held within a small team of two.
Fabrics are the first language of upholstery: Susan Imbottiti selects and works them with the care of someone who knows that a covering is not only aesthetic, but the skin of an object made to last. Original production and repairs coexist in the same gesture, in the same workshop.
Beneath the fabric there is always a structure: the workbench is where shapes take form, where an armchair recovers its geometry or a sofa finds its balance again. In a workshop of two people, every piece passes through the same hands from start to finish.
The light crossing the workshop reveals the quality of every choice: the colour of a fabric, the hold of a seam, the precision of a finished edge. Susan Imbottiti works within a tight circle — two people, a business spanning both production and restoration — where nothing goes unnoticed.
An artisan workshop in the Marche, where upholstery rhymes with care for detail. The page tells the story of the business as a whole.
