Among the hills of the Rimini hinterland, where Romagna becomes worked land and precise seasons, the Zavoli family has been growing fruit for three generations. Eighty hectares spread across five municipalities, a story that began in 1960 with Quinto and Ede, a method that has never stopped looking to the field.
The rows stretch across eighty hectares scattered between Poggio Torriana, Borghi, Montiano, Longiano and Santarcangelo di Romagna: a landscape of cultivation that carries the name of Quinto Zavoli, the founder who started the business in 1960. Today it is his sons Stefano and Francesco, together with their wives and the young agronomist Gabriele, who keep this continuity of family and land alive.
Strawberries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, persimmons, plums and figs: every variety is carefully selected and hand-picked at the right moment of the season. The SQNPI and Global G.A.P. certifications document an approach that combines knowledge of the territory with care for the soil; the strawberries, for instance, are grown soilless to reduce water consumption without sacrificing quality.
On the shelves of the ZAVOLI CRI&CRI line rest jams, syrup-preserved fruit, candied fruit and preserves in oil, handmade using only the farm's own fruit, without chemical additives or synthetic flavourings. The IGP certification seals the bond with the Romagna territory; the farm kiosk, open Monday to Saturday from half past seven to one, brings these products directly from the field to those who seek them.
From the land of Romagna to the jar on the table: the Zavoli page tells the story of every season, every IGP-certified variety, and where to find the farm kiosk to buy directly.
