ristorazione — Asse · Brabante Fiammingo
In the heart of Flemish Brabant, in Asse, a family originally from Ancona has spent since 2005 building an outpost of authentic Italian cooking. Three brothers, a tradition rooted in the Adriatic sea, and a menu that changes with the seasons: the story begins here.
The Del Grosso brothers come from Ancona, on the Adriatic coast, and in 2005 they opened the doors of Made in Italy in Asse. A clear choice: to bring to Belgium not an idea of Italy, but home cooking, the kind learned within the family long before it is learned in a kitchen. Twenty years on, the restaurant is a recognised point of reference in Flemish Brabant.
The menu follows the season: ravioli with fresh truffle, seafood paccheri, beef carpaccio with truffle and truffle oil. The pasta is fresh, the ingredients chosen with care. On TheFork the restaurant holds a rating of 9.5 out of a hundred and ten reviews: figures that speak of a dining room that does not disappoint those who sit down at its tables.
In the kitchen works chef Raffaele Del Grosso, alongside his mother: a pairing that holds together the memory of tradition and contemporary precision. Culatello served with artichokes and parmigiano reggiano, clam and scampi guazzetto, baked sea bass with aromatic herbs: dishes born of a deep knowledge of Italian ingredients.
The dish that reaches the table is the farewell of an entire journey. The page tells of the menu, the welcome, and everything that makes this address a point of reference in Brabant.
