On the Altopiano di Cherz, at 1800 metres in the heart of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Rifugio La Viza looks out directly over the slopes of the Arabba Dolomiti SuperSki ski area. Open in both summer and winter, it is a stop that feels like home: home-style cooking, well-kept rooms, artisanal grappas produced by host Eric.
The window opens onto the Dolomite range: this is the Altopiano di Cherz, at 1800 metres, in the territory of Livinallongo del Col di Lana, in the heart of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage site. In winter the slopes of the Arabba Dolomiti SuperSki area reach right up to it, with direct ski-in, ski-out access; in summer, hiking trails branch off towards other rifugi, among peaks and wide-open valleys.
