Amid the gentle hills of the Marche region, in Contrada San Savino, just a few kilometres from the sea at Civitanova, stands a country house whose name carries a story: it was Napoleon Bonaparte, a guest here in 1797, who called it Poggio Imperiale.
From the Marche hills above Civitanova Marche, just over six kilometres from the coast, the sea appears on the horizon as a luminous line. Poggio Imperiale occupies a rare position: high enough to enjoy the view, close enough to the coast to feel its breath. The name was chosen by Napoleon Bonaparte, who stayed here in 1797.
The estate is surrounded by a large garden with a small wood, nature trails and a wooden rest area among the trees. The glam tents are built with solid wood boards and open directly onto the greenery, each with a private patio and a view of the pool. The estate also welcomes pets and has a riding stable with three horses for rides through the hilly landscape.
The bubble rooms are transparent spheres set within the small wood: heated and comfortable in every season, they let guests sleep beneath the stars and wake to light filtering through the branches. The heated indoor pool and the three outdoor hot tubs in the garden are available until late evening, while the small spa offers a sauna, Turkish bath and sensory shower.
