ristorazione — Barrafranca · Sicilia
In the hinterland of Enna, where the Sicilian hills guard flavours of long memory, Calogero Serio founded a pizzeria that carries the name of a precise ambition: to make the art of pizza a recognisable craft, rooted in its territory yet capable of reaching beyond the borders of Barrafranca.
On via Minghetti, in the heart of Barrafranca, PizzArte was born from the vision of two young Sicilian entrepreneurs who chose to stay and build something lasting. The name is a manifesto: art here is not ornament, but a method of work. Every choice, from the setting to the welcome, reflects a project conceived with care, where respect for the craft can be read already at the threshold.
Sicily is present in every choice of ingredient: raw materials from the Enna territory enter the dough and the toppings, selected with the same care one would use in choosing a trusted producer. Tradition and authenticity are not slogans here, but the thread that ties each preparation to a precise geography, to flavours the palate recognises as its own and that memory returns whole.
Leavening is the technical heart of PizzArte: a slow, watched-over process that cannot be improvised. Each month brings a pizza off the regular menu — a sign of a kitchen in motion, able to experiment without abandoning its roots. In February 2026 the pizzeria carried its proposal as far as Sanremo, a concrete measure of a reputation built dough after dough, growing beyond the province.
The page for PizzArte lists the full menu, the specialities of the month, and all the directions to find it in the heart of Barrafranca, on via Minghetti.
