At the gates of the Dolomiti Lucane, in the Cupolicchio woods along the Via Appia, the Parco Avventura di Albano di Lucania turns Basilicata's untouched nature into a theatre of challenges suspended among the treetops.
Before tackling the aerial courses, every guest receives the necessary briefing: expert instructors explain how to use the equipment and guide visitors along walkways, rope bridges and long zip lines. Eight courses of increasing difficulty — from yellow, for children aged three and up, to purple, for adults — guarantee just the right amount of adrenaline for everyone, in complete safety.
The woodland trails can also be explored on two wheels: the mountain bike routes wind through the Parco Naturale del Bosco di Albano di Lucania, among beech and oak trees, with the chance to reach spots such as the Lago Invernale di Monte San Vitale. For those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, the park also offers walking excursions and trekking routes through the scents of the Lucanian scrubland.
At the end of the day, the equipped picnic area welcomes families and groups with tables, benches and barbecues available. At the on-site kiosk, a chef prepares typical Lucanian specialities on the spot, including caciocavallo impiccato (melted caciocavallo cheese, cooked hanging over an open flame). Well-kept restrooms and a playground complete a facility designed so that no one, from age three up, misses out on their own adventure.
