produttori — Rivoli · Piemonte
On Corso Susa in Rivoli, where the Piedmontese plain meets the first Alpine foothills, an artisan bakery keeps alive, every morning, the liturgy of the oven. Since 1984, Pane & Company has been turning flour and time into something Rivoli recognizes as its own.
On the marble counter of the workshop on Corso Susa, every day begins before dawn. Twelve varieties of dark bread come out of the oven each morning, alongside stretched grissini and a fat-free baguette that has won customers over since day one: fresh production is daily, without exception, since 1984.
Elisabetta Manfrin learned this craft at fourteen, in the family bakery, and has carried it forward with her hands and with the very word she herself uses: passion. The family-run character shows in the pace of the work and in the staff, whom visitors invariably describe as kind and helpful.
The shelves hold the output of a production that doesn't stop at bread: fresh pasta, dry and fresh pastries, rustic focacce with porcini or gorgonzola, savory pies and trays for receptions made to order. A repertoire that convinced the jury of the regional award "Piemonte Eccellenza Artigiana".
From the shop window on Corso Susa, you can see all of this. The page tells the details of a bottega that Rivoli has been visiting for forty years.
