On the plain outside Brescia, in Ghedi, a plant has been producing dry food for dogs and cats for more than thirty years through a supply chain that is entirely made in Italy: from the milling of raw materials to the final glazing, without ever leaving the same building.
In the Ghedi plant, every kibble is born and completed without ever leaving the same roof: from milled corn to the final glazing, the entire production chain remains under the direct control of the Almici family, who since 1991 have chosen not to delegate anything that ends up in the bowl.
At the heart of the process is selective extrusion: a technology that subjects each ingredient to different cooking times and temperatures, calibrated to its nature. Not a single uniform pass, but a sequence of treatments designed to preserve the nutritional value of each raw material and make it digestible.
The shelf tells the story of years of refinement: the Supreme, Stone Crick, Maxime and Taste lines apply the same production philosophy in distinct formulas for dogs and cats, with Super Premium recipes that include patè and oil. Alongside these, a contract manufacturing service supports other brands with the same supply chain.
The company's own shop on Via Industriale 70 is the last step in a supply chain the Almici family has controlled since 1991.
