In Fano, where the Adriatic coast meets the hills of the Marche, an atelier works leather with needle and thread as it has always been done. Magrabò makes guitar and bass straps entirely by hand: each piece is born from carefully selected materials and a gesture that industrial production cannot replicate.
Magrabò straps begin with the rigorous selection of raw materials: vegetable-tanned cowhide, a suede lower lining, cotton webbing made in Italy. Each material answers a precise function — softness, strength, comfort under the weight of the instrument — and no component is chosen by chance. The quality shows up close, and is felt in the hand before that.
On the workbench of the Fano atelier, every strap takes shape through hand stitching: a slow, controlled gesture that leaves on the leather the unmistakable mark of the hand that made it. No two pieces are identical. Francesca Boni personally welcomes visitors to the showroom, where one can handle the models, compare the collections, and choose a combination made to measure.
The Custom Branding service allows each strap to be engraved and decorated to the musician's own indications: a name, a symbol, a distinctive mark pressed into the leather. The atelier has made commissioned pieces for professional musicians, including Dodi Battaglia, and ships worldwide. The result is an object that belongs to whoever wears it, recognizable at a glance on stage.
