ristorazione — Fonte Nuova · Lazio
Along Via Palombarese, in the Roman hinterland stretching toward the Monti Tiburtini, La Brocca Bakery has been open for less than a year, bringing to Fonte Nuova an artisan pastry shop that works fresh every morning from its in-house workshop.
On the threshold, the register is already clear: no showy signage, just the scent that gets there first. La Brocca marked its first year with a range spanning caramelized mille-feuille croissants with vanilla mousse and salt flakes to artisan panettone made to order — a debut that has already built a loyal following in the neighborhood.
The counter is the heart of the morning: croissants arrive fresh from the in-house workshop every day, light and in refined variations that reviews describe as unmatched by the area's standard offerings. Alongside, a carefully curated coffee bar rounds out breakfast, and in the outdoor garden — in the right season — mornings stretch on with house-made gelato.
The workshop also turns out the custom commissions that have made La Brocca known beyond the neighborhood: Sette Veli cakes in the Sicilian tradition, millefoglie, cupcakes with personalized fillings, and desserts decorated with lifelike fruit made of sugar paste — a decorative technique customers describe with enthusiasm. Even the cookies for a store opening were hand-cut to order at the last minute.
From breakfast to made-to-order cakes, La Brocca Bakery tells the story of a young, precise craft. The full page is here.
