On the hills surrounding Orvieto, where olive trees have grown since before Rome was Rome, Goccia Umbra has safeguarded a heritage of land and flavour since 1988. A story that began with Marcella Patrizi and continues today with the Micheletti family.
Among the neat rows on the hills of Orvieto, where the land carries Etruscan memory, Goccia Umbra has cultivated olives since 1988. A steady presence in a landscape that does not change, where every season repeats the ancient gesture of the harvest and yields extra virgin olive oil of a quality superior to that found on the national and international market.
In May 2015 Enrico Maria Micheletti left Turin to move to Umbria with his family, taking up the legacy of Marcella Patrizi and a tradition of landowning dating back to 1862. A choice of life even before one of business, rooted in the belief that small excellences deserve care and continuity.
Alongside its extra virgin olive oil — available in sizes from 250 ml up to five litres, as well as in flavoured variants — Goccia Umbra produces artisanal cured meats that round out its catalogue of Orvieto's excellences. On its shelves rest products designed for distributors, restaurateurs and private customers: a range built up over time, with the same care given to the oil.
