On the morainic hills of the southern shore of Lake Garda, in Pozzolengo, the Bulgarini family has spent more than twenty years pursuing a winemaking vocation rooted in three generations of viticultural craft and in the truest identity of Lugana DOC.
Twenty-five hectares of vineyard, still expanding, shape the landscape of Località Vaibò (the Vaibò estate): here Gianfranco and Diego Bulgarini personally oversee every stage, from vine to cellar, with the meticulousness that marks family-run management. The winery belongs to the Consorzio Tutela Lugana DOC (Lugana DOC Growers' Consortium) and produces Lugana DOC and Lugana Riserva DOC, expressions of a denomination that has built its reputation on this corner of Lombardy.
The soil of Garda's morainic hills holds an agricultural history dating back to the sixteenth century, when Trebbiano di Lugana found here its chosen terroir. It is this continuity with the land — not technology alone — that gives Colli Vaibò's Lugana the aromas and character that make it recognisable: a white wine that carries within it the identity of a precise place.
In the modern cellar, the wines rest in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, preserving the varietal aromas of Trebbiano. Alongside, Lugana Metodo Classico Brut — also produced in Magnum format — completes the range with a bottle refermentation that demands patience and control: an ageing process that turns Garda's white wine into a sparkling wine of character.
The Wine Experience at Colli Vaibò opens the cellar doors to anyone who wants to meet Lugana where it is born: among the vines and barrels of Pozzolengo.
