Since 4 October 1984, when Michele Giardiello set up the company as a family venture in Potenza, every site opened has been a commitment made to the territory. Forty years on, Cargo Srl is recognised as a Campione della Crescita 2026 (Growth Champion) and Stelle del Sud 2026 (Star of the South), with 2024 revenues of over 38 million euros.
Behind every project stands a structure that leaves nothing to chance: over 250 highly specialised workers, more than 100 hours of training per person each year, and 80,000 kilometres of low, medium and high voltage power lines built and maintained. A wealth of expertise certified by seven international standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and SA 8000.
Teams of specialised technicians operate in Basilicata, Sicily and Calabria, ready to step in should faults or weather-related outages occur. Round-the-clock remote monitoring detects anomalies in real time, keeping restoration times on power grids and renewable plants to a minimum.
