produttori — Pineto · Abruzzo
On the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo, in Pineto, a vineyard grows where lignite was once mined. Tiberio Ferretti chose not to forget that history: he put it in the name, in the soil, in the wine.
In Contrada Camerino (Camerino district), in Pineto, the rows of Cantina La Lignite grow on soil that still carries the memory of an old lignite mine: it is from this subsoil, marked by its geological past, that the character of the vineyard is born — and the winery's very name keeps that story without mediation.
The countryside around Pineto stretches between the Adriatic Sea and the first hills of the Teramo area, a territory that gives Tiberio Ferretti's vineyard a double mark: the brightness of the coast and the minerality of a land that for centuries hid coal beneath its fields.
Among the wines produced at the winery is a rosé — a blend of freshness and structure that reflects Tiberio Ferretti's hand in guiding the wine. Every bottle carries on its label a name that is also a declaration of origin: La Lignite, the mine, the field, the vineyard.
