In Marsala, in a studio that works on every conceivable surface, airbrushing has become a precise language: capable of turning a helmet, a motorbike, a guitar or skin itself into recognisable work.
Nothing begins without a drawing. Lorenzo Barraco listens to the request, translates it into a sketch, and follows it step by step through to execution. Every helmet, every surface, every tattoo is born from a project shared with the person who will wear it: personalisation is not an option, it is the method.
Behind the airbrush lies a precise academic path: a diploma from the Istituto Regionale d'Arte in Mazara del Vallo, and a degree from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Palermo with a thesis devoted to the technique of airbrushing on all surfaces. A training that shows in the mastery of effects, from the abstract to the photorealistic.
In 2009 Barraco Design won the World Title at the Monster Art Club Contest, an international competition organised by official Ducati, with an airbrush design on a Ducati Monster. Helmets for Formula 1 and Formula 3 drivers complete a record that shows how far technique can go when it is grounded in research.
