ristorazione — Orbetello · Toscana
In the Riserva Naturale della Feniglia (Feniglia Nature Reserve), along the sandy dune that links Orbetello to the Argentario promontory, Braccio is a beach club and restaurant that has followed the seasons of this stretch of Tuscan coast since 1978, between pine forest and open sea.
The Feniglia is a dune running over six kilometres that separates the Orbetello lagoon from the open sea: dense pine forest on one side, beach on the other. Braccio stands here, in this corridor of protected nature, and since 1978 has marked the beginning and end of summer for those travelling along this stretch of the Maremma coast.
The veranda opens directly onto the sea, with nothing between the table and the horizon. This is the place where sunset over the Argentario becomes part of the meal: the light shifts slowly, the water turns orange, and the mood stays as calm and unhurried as this corner of the nature reserve itself.
In the kitchen, the rhythm is set by the day's catch, hand-rolled pasta and homemade desserts. Three elements that define a menu with no shortcuts: the fish arrives fresh, the dough is worked on the counter, and the desserts close the meal with the same craftsmanship with which it began.
On the beach of the Feniglia, where the sea is shallow and the pines offer shade, Braccio waits for those who want to truly stop a while.
