ristorazione — Gaeta · Lazio
Gaeta Medievale (the medieval quarter of Gaeta), Piazza Conca: the sea is a few steps away, ancient stone is everywhere. It is in this setting that Attimi was born, a family-run restaurant that tells the story of the territory through a cuisine able to hold memory and research together.
In Piazza Conca, in the heart of Gaeta Medievale, there is an entrance that already tells the whole story: a family that turned a shared dream into a genuine dining project. Attimi was born from bonds, passions and visions that came together in a single place, in the heart of a village that has looked out over the Tyrrhenian Sea for centuries.
The dining room is warm, cared for down to the smallest detail: a space that can feel intimate for a dinner for two and welcoming for a convivial evening. Four-legged friends are made welcome too, met with the same attentiveness reserved for guests. It is this attention to detail that turns a space into a place people return to.
What comes out of the kitchen speaks of seasonality and territory: genovese, a ragù of cocci and canocchie (local rockfish and mantis shrimp), baccalà (salt cod) prepared with pairings that are original yet always balanced. Tradition and innovation are not at odds — they complete one another, dish after dish, following the rhythm of what the market and the sea of Gaeta have to offer.
The fish is exceptionally fresh, the pairings always well judged: the tasting selection of starters is the best way to begin getting to know Attimi.
